International Choral Festival “Music Without Borders” in Kutaisi
An international meeting of choirs in the heart of Georgia: a competition, concerts, singing together and discovering the Imereti region. The Music Without Borders Foundation organises the festival.
The Kutaisi festival grew naturally out of the international online edition held in 2021. Since 2025 choirs have met in person in one of Europe’s oldest cities. The Music Without Borders Foundation is responsible for the artistic programme and organisation, working with Georgian partners.
Music, encounters and Georgia
The programme combines competition performances, a gala concert, festival concerts in the Imereti region and opportunities to meet other ensembles. Singing a Georgian piece together and discovering local culture are important parts of the experience.
Who can take part
Children’s, youth, academic, mixed, equal-voice and senior choirs are welcome, as are chamber choirs and vocal ensembles. Repertoire categories include sacred, contemporary and folk music as well as gospel, pop and jazz.
