Song of Silence — a concert in sign language

Two choirs — one classical, one singing in Polish Sign Language — in a concert about music that unites rather than divides.

Silesian Chamber Choir Ad libitum

The Music Without Borders Foundation invited you to “Song of Silence”, performed by Seeing Voices Choir conducted by Dr Anna Wojtas-Rduch and the Silesian Chamber Choir Ad libitum conducted by Izabella Zielecka-Panek.

The concert aimed to create a space where everyone feels welcome and included — whether or not they can hear. Polish Sign Language was the tool of this integration. The programme included early, sacred, folk and popular music.

Seeing Voices Choir

Founded in 2024, the choir brings together teachers, sign language interpreters, students, Deaf, hard-of-hearing and hearing people, promoting music in sign language and access to culture for Deaf people.

Admission was free with tickets.
