25th anniversary of the Silesian Chamber Choir Ad libitum: Carmina Burana

For the choir’s 25th anniversary, almost 60 former and current singers performed Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana”. The choir received the “Meritorious for Polish Culture” distinction.

On 21 September 2024, the Silesian Chamber Choir Ad libitum celebrated its 25th anniversary with a concert. We performed one of the best-known works of 20th-century classical music — Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana”, arranged for mixed choir, children’s choir, two pianos and percussion.

The concert was held under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Wodzisław Śląski, Mieczysław Kieca. During the celebration the choir received the Meritorious for Polish Culture distinction from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
