The 12th edition of the Wodzisław Śląski — Town of Musical Vibrations series. Restauracja Ostrawa, the Music Without Borders Foundation and organiser Jolanta Aleksandra Kulej invited you to “Tonalities for autumn evenings”.
Tenor Marek Anton, moving gracefully between classical, popular and jazz music, performed with Dariusz Panek, who charmed the audience at the piano and as a singer.
On the 100th anniversary of the death of the composer, organist and teacher connected with Wodzisław, his songs, psalms and Mass in honour of St Joseph were performed. The composer’s great-granddaughter, Angelika Kügele, played the organ.
For the town’s patron saint day we invited stars of the Polish National Opera, Andrzej Lampert, the Silesian Chamber Players and our Ad libitum choir. A student and her teacher also shared the stage.
Two choirs — one classical, one singing in Polish Sign Language — in a concert about music that unites rather than divides.
