1st International Choral Festival Music Without Borders in Kutaisi — a look back

Four days of auditions, meetings and a gala concert in Georgia. Choirs from Poland and Georgia, medals, special prizes — and the lens of STOLZ Photography Team capturing the festival’s emotions.

From 17 to 20 October 2025 Kutaisi in Georgia was filled with song. The Music Without Borders Foundation organised the 1st International Choral Festival “Music Without Borders” — the first edition where choirs met in person, not only in recordings as during the 2021 online festival.

Auditions and the gala concert

The festival included competition auditions of qualified choirs and ended with a gala concert. Alongside Georgian choirs, ensembles from Bielsko-Biała, Nakło nad Notecią, Jarosław and Wodzisław Śląski performed.

We are especially proud of Wodzisław’s success: the “Kokoszyczanki” vocal ensemble led by Joanna Lubańska won a silver medal in the Ethno category and a special prize for its interpretation of the Georgian folk song “Suliko”. Congratulations to all choirs and conductors!

The festival through the lens

The event was supported by STOLZ Photography Team — media patron and donor of the foundation. SPT photographer Michał Kolanowski documented the festival: auditions, the gala concert and the moments between performances. Thank you!
